7:00 pm Update

Day 4 of rehab for Paul and he "wants the hell out of this place." He is tired of being sick and really tired of hospitals. He thought he might have the day off from rehab since it was Saturday, but he was not so lucky. He continues to be really tired from Physical Therapy, but is still working hard!

On Monday they are going to remove the IVC Filter they put in to prevent blood clots. He currently has no blood clots and the Coumadin he is taking should prevent any from happening.

Tuesay they are hoping to remove the pins from his left foot.

He is still loving all of the visitors that have been stopping by to see him.

Great news to hear that Paul and Kathi and family are back! We just returned from a spring break trip and followed Paul's Great Escape to the Pacific Northwest online while we were gone, thanks to Julie's blog. Thinking of you all, Happy Easter!

Happy Easter Kathi and Paul...I know that you have had better!

My thinking is that you might have Dr. Lonergan along the way...he's really a good guy Paul and you are in the best of hands at Evergreen! Just hang in there because the good news is; this will all be behind you very soon! You really don't want to take any chances with having a blood clot on top of everything else!!!

If you guys like Sushi, I can highly recommend Izumi's right across 405 from where you are...I found out about them during my last stint at Evergreen and they are 5 STAR. There is also Matt's hotdogs in the same strip mall; both restaurants are located right across from the Golden Arches.

Kathi, you better make sure that Paul's bed sheets don't make it down to ground level; just incase Paul should think of tieing them together...'The GREAT Escape' Chapter 10! I know it must be tempting, when you live just down the road! I can picture Paul hitch hiking along Totem Lake Blvd. flashing traffic.

I hope that the Easter Bunny hops in with a basket full of Get Well Candy 4-U today...it's wonderful when you have to gain weight!

...as you already know Evergreen is not the Hilton...OT & PT want to see that you get back home just as much as you, but they want to make sure that you are strong enough to not be taking any back steps.

I hope that you can enjoy the Masters today and not be having 2 many work outs!

...I forgot to mention Pizza Bank has good Pizza, Pasta and Salads - the Greek salad especially good. To get there just go up to 124th that runs behind Evergreen and head North. It's located in the Kingsgate neighborhood - Ray Bosco, a member at BC owns it and will give you special attention to your order...ask 4 him - he's hot!

I hope all goes well for you today and tomorrow. It sounds like everything is pretty much on schedule!

It looks like we will have a late Spring this year, so your not missing out on the weather...make the most of your time in rehab and mend well!
