Good Evening,
Paul continues to improve and looks stronger every day. He went outside today in the wheelchair again for about a half hour.
As we stated yesterday, tomorrow should be a big news day for travel plans to an acute rehabilitation facility. Hopefully by the end of the week he will be in a new location.

Hi Kathi & Paul,
If it hasn't already crossed your mind...I've been spending alot of time on the computer because it is so damn cold up here and they are aerating our golf course! See your not missing out on anything! I think there was even snow flurries during March Madness for the guys-BRRRRRRRR!!!
Kathi, we had a fun Kick Off, but it rained and stayed mighty cold for the golf part... coming back to the club house, warming up and being served hot soup and salad for lunch was the best part! We have a lot of new members and it looks like it will be an especially fun year!
I know how exhausted you must be from worry and the wear and tear that hospital living brings...nobody realizes how bad it is until you are there! I bet you are counting the minutes until discharge...I hope you get the good news soon!
If paul is having any problems that those hard hospital mattresses can cause, you might look into the air mattresses that circulate - the neg. is that they are noisy. It would be my guess that he's already on one. The Tempur Pedic with remote control is a very good one too and I would highly recommend one for when Paul gets home.
I guess I'm starting to sound like a 60 year old...oh shit I am! Unfortunately I know too much about hospitals...that's why I'm wishing for you guys to be breaking out REAL soon!
Thinking of you everyday,
Jeanne and Mark Hannah
Kathi, I am so glad to hear that Paul is doing better!Just going outside must have felt so good for him. I think about all of you so often-happy thoughts...I would love to talk to you or Kari if you have time soon-a good story! Julie updated me and I do hope you get up here somehow-whatever is best for Paul and your support. Take good care. My cell is 206-669-6220

Hey Paul,
While in Hawaii last week, Jolene kept us updated on everything. Then today I was able to read everything from March 22 ( the day we left) up thru today, April 2nd. I am so proud of you on hanging in and doing such a fantastic recovery. Even though you are a graduate of Edmonds High, you are still doing well and dealing with all the pain. You must have some Terrace High in you. While in Hawaii, Wendy and I ran into Wilf and Diane. I guess we are all thinking that if we go to Hawaii you will calm down and heal. You know Paul, besides how lucky you are to be coming out of all your injuries you are a lucky, lucky man to have all the family and friends who sincerely care about you. As I read all the many e-mails, it is easy to read behind the lines all the pain everyone feels for you. You are lucky to be surrounded by Kathi, Kari, Julie, Jen, Sara and all the others who have put themselves on hold to watch and pray over you. I don't know why you are in such a hurry to get out of there. If I had all those beautiful women around me, I would fake it for at least a few months. I will honestly tell you though that it makes all our hearts happy when we read this blog each day and see the advances you are making. I look at it the first thing whenever I come into my office, as everyone does. I have to think about this, but I may just write you a poem to boost your spirits, we'll see. Another thing, as much as you want to complain, it sounds to me like you have one hell of a great and caring hospital staff. The best to Kathi and all the girlers and may your strength be renewed each day off good news. Good luck with getting transferred to Palm Springs and if you do, we will have to switch all our prayers to Kathi, she will need them:-)
Love Gene and Wendy (mostly Gene because I do the writing.
