Saturday March 31st 10:00pm Update

Paul sat up in bed again today. No wheelchair today, but Sarah said he is looking so much stronger. He even had a few smiles.

He is finally off of all drip medication.

Great TV Day for him....Final Four and Golf.

Monday should be a big news day for travel plans.

Off the Hep IV great news...welcome to the coumadin club! Yes this is great news and it means that you just made it over another hurdle...keep on jumping...soon you will see the finish line!

Thank you Jen and family for doing the updates. It is nice to hear about Pauls daily progress and be able to give reports out to those inquiring at BC.

Sure, doesn't it just figure the day Paul might travel is the day of the big game! Unless Paul's into "All My Children" or "Deal or No Deal" these good TV days don't come around too often. And a good TV day is a great distraction from all the medical stuff. Although, if he's not into Ohio or Florida maybe it's not a big deal. We sure hope he's moved soon. It will be a big boost for Paul, Kathi, Sarah and Kari to move closer to home and have a change of scenery as well. Kathi, are you still sleeping at the hospital with Paul?? Does Paul wake you when he needs something in the middle of the night (because he SAYS he couldn't find the call button). More fun stories to share! It sounds like Paul is doing well though. One by one they keep removing his "restraints", the feeding tube, the catheter, the heparin, etc. Once he gets rid of the IV entirely, he'll feel free again. Keep your spirits up! It sounds like you'll all be out of San Diego soon, a city you may never want to return to again!

Paul, I just heard of your motorcycle accident, and would like to let you know that I am praying for you in my morning spanish prayers. Get better fast, as we need you. I am leading the Shouse NCAA basketball brackets, with three of the final 4, and both of the final two, so now I am pulling for Florida to win the huge $25 pot, and the opportunity to buy a beer for the worst picker, which may be Jack, or Brian Shouse's wife, Joan. M's start their season tomorrow at 3:35. Get well soon.
