8:55 PM Update

Stitches came out of his left foot. Has a soft cast on until April 23rd when pins will come out of the foot and then he will be able to put weight on it.

He has a new splint on his right hand for his "boxer break."

Catheter came out--can now "pee freely."

Sat in a wheel chair for a half hour. He felt a little dizzy at first but toughed it out. Hoping to wheel him outside tomorrow. Has cabin fever BAD.

Kathi, Sarah & Kari (again) are working hard to keep his spirits up. Everyone please say your prayers and send positive thoughts for Paul, Kathi, Kari & Sarah~~they are going on a month now and can use all the positive energy they can get.

Thank you to Jim & Donna for the cookie basket--Joanne for the goodie basket & Marty Mel for the encouragement!

We just got back to Canada a couple of days ago and Steve hooked us up with your blog tonight. We've been thinking about you during the last three weeks and it was a relief to learn that you're alive and on the road to recovery.

For the record, the guy driving the red pick-up truck did come back to the site. Like the rest of us, he was tetering on the edge of shock and barely holding it together.

I put insurance back on my motorcycle today. I thought of you and took a deep breath as I pulled out of the driveway.

Get well soon Paul.

Hey DaddyO, glad you're on the heal tho' I'm sure it's not nearly speedy enough to suit you. I follow your progress daily and wish I was there to flame your cast and polish your spokes for your outside debut. All the Best, Barry

A slow recovery is better than no recovery! Just think how lucky you are to have lived through this and how cute Kathi is going to look in that nurses outfit!

We are saying daily prayers in wishing you a quick recovery. You must believe to achieve. Improvement begins with "I".

Paul and Kathi,

We were so glad to hear you are able to sit up in the wheel chair. After being in bed for so long it is no wonder you are a bit dizzy. Each day you will be stronger and feeling better. Just can't believe what a great support team you have there. You are really blessed. Just want to thank Julie too for keeping us all informed.

Just know it won't be long before you are back in the desert, but remember those nurses and doctors might not be as nice as they are there so practice up on your manners! Please keep the positive attitude going okay?
